Uses in traditional medicine :

  • Fruit pulp is applied on fresh wounds and boils on the skin for quick healing
  • Decoction of the unripe fruit slices is used as a mouthwash or a gargle for mouth sanitation and sore throat
  • Low dosages of seed powder mixed with bee honey is taken for diarrhoea and dysentery
